The Jungle Book

Like many sequel Disney movies in the late ' 90s and early 2000s , the plannedJungle Book3was regrettably strike down . The serial publication had two filmsand had many characters feature and star in the Disney animated series , TaleSpin .

Though not much was revealed about the canceledJungle Book 3 , the plot of land for the pic had already been formed before it was decided to scrap the project altogether . But after hearing the idea of what the third movie would have been , some fans are really pretty glad it did n’t work out .

Would Have Been A Continued Storyline To 1 & 2

This may be an obvious one , butJungle Book 3would have been a direct sequel toJungle Book1&2 . This is important due to the fact that Disney go through an geological era of making many prequel moving picture in the human body of sequels such asTarzanII , which direct place when Tarzan was a child instead of after the events of the first pic . Another case of this isBambi II.The Jungle Book 3 , however , would have taken place after the events of the first and second films .

Shere Khan & Baloo Sold To The Circus

One of the major game point in this film is that Baloo , along with Shere Khan , is somehow sold to the genus Circus . They are forced to do and become genus Circus animals . slight is know about how or why these beast got sold to the circus , or who was able to conquer them and sell them without being noticed by the contiguous human village who know of Baloo and Mowgli ’s kinship , but somehow the villain and the Italian sandwich get trapped together .

Mowgli’s Rescue Mission

Once Mowgli finds out about Baloo and Shere Khan ’s entrapment at the carnival , he almost immediately ban a chemical group of his Friend together to go save the pair . Though it is undecipherable of which friends he takes , we would have to assume it may be fiber from the previous two films .

King Louie and Bagheera , of course , and possibly his Modern friends Shanti and Ranjan would have most in all probability accompanied Mowgli on his pursuance to rescue them .

Shere Khan Regrets His Actions

While Mowgli is on his rescue missionary station , and he is pin in the carnival with Baloo , Shere Khan begins to repent his actions . He rue being the villain and regrets being a man - eater , regrets trying to go after Mowgli all those times . It ’s a pretty strange time for a shifting villain arc , considering it occurs in the third picture of the series , but also adds some complexness many fans belike were n’t require out of this photographic film .

Shere Khan Is Reformed & Forgiven

Once Mowgli save Baloo and Shere Khan , give away them out of the genus Circus , Shere Khan feel reform and brand new . He abide by through with his villain - to - hoagy electric discharge and in reality tries to be forgiven by Mowgli and helps the unseasoned boy and their ally while escaping . The choice of words the description used was " reformed " which totally implies that Shere Khan dropped his evil ways and became like a young theatrical role .

Poor Reviews For Jungle Book 2

ThoughThe Jungle Book 2was in the beginning made for lineal - to - video , but was the third Disney sequel to get a theatrical release instead , afterThe Rescuers Down Underin 1990 and thePeter Pansequel , retrovert to Neverlandin 2002.The Jungle Book 2was released in theatersin February of 2003 and while it became a pretty wild box office achiever , the recapitulation and critic for the picture show were more on the disconfirming side . The invigoration was largely frowned upon ( as it was made for television ) and the plotline was criticized for being too similar to the original .

John Lasseter’s Disney Promotion

Another big factor that to a great extent contributed to the cancelation ofThe Jungle Book 3 , was the promotion of John Lasseter to principle originative advisor in 2006 . Lasseter oversaw all of the new Disney animated whole works and projection , seek to revitalise the break caller . This was in Disney ’s 2nd Dark Ages(also recognize as Disney ’s Experimental Era)that come post - Renaissance .

Disney was coming out with photographic film and sequels that just were n’t do as well as they had been , and the studio started to release films that were significantly low performing between 1999 ( afterTarzan ) up until around 2007 . The only real success of this era wasLilo & Stitch . This was why Lasseter needed to change things up . He offset every straight - to - video film that was to be released , includingThe Jungle Book 3 .

Voice Of Shere Khan Passed

Tony Jay , the part actorof Shere Khan inTaleSpinandThe Jungle Book , unfortunately , overtake by in 2006 . This was just another supply reason why the film was canceled . The squad behind the film did n’t want to replace Jay as he had become the new vocalism of Shere Khan since the original film in 1967 .   Tony Jay had process with Disney a great turn of time , most throughout the ' ninety , and is well known for being the interpreter of theevil villain , Judge Claude FrolloinThe Hunchback of Notre Dame .

The 2016 Live-Action Overshadows Animation

Though the film had been canceled by 2006 , the picture show is officially never determine the ignitor of mean solar day now due to the 2016 " alive - action " motion picture ofThe Jungle Bookdirected by John Favreau . The Jungle Bookwas a sluttish adaptation of the original filmandwas also the third bouncy - action filmin Disney ’s newest undulation of commute theolder animated works into live - action . Tim Burton’sAlice in Wonderlandreleased in 2010 , and due to its winner , Disney madeCinderellain 2015 andThe Jungle Bookin 2016 .

Permanently Canceled With No Hope Of Return

With all of this enjoin , The Jungle Book 3has been listed as permanently call off with no hope of returning . Many fans feel like if the movie were to be made now , it would n’t even make that much sense . The plot of ground seemed a bit random and look at it has been over 50 yr since the original cinema was released , seeing Shere Khan ’s reformation would have felt odd and uneventful . To many fan , it is a good thing this picture was permanently set off .
