Thor has been put through the wringer in the starting Donny Cates ( Venom)and Nic Klein ’s ( Deadpool)run onThor . The God / Avenger has had to take down both Galactus and the Black Winter in recent issues . If that was n’t enough , the Black Winter bear witness Thor the futurity , where anInfinity Hammer - wielding Thanoshas returned and institute death and destruction with him . Thor#7 ( with prowess by Aaron Kuder and people of colour from Matt Wilson ) slows down the pace a bit and sees the Marvel sub proceeds to Asgard and throw Mjolnir down to Earth .

Thor#7 opens in a little town of Broxton Oklahoma ( where the new city of Asgard used to be ) with a railcar car-mechanic name Adam Aziz discovering Mjolnir after it crashes down on Earth . Thor ( via a Corvus corax ) tell Lady Sif that he threw his hammer down to Earth to test a theory . As Thor warns Beta Ray Bill of the visual sense he insure , Iron Man arrives on the scene in Broxton . Thor actually wrote Iron Man ’s phone number on the pound as a contour of revenge for thehero authorship on Mjolnir previously . As Iron Man tries to keep the local composure , Adam reaches for the malleus and actually cope to pick it up , transforming into a young variant of Thor .
So , how does a regular mechanic become suitable ? It is n’t exactly clear . However , a ribbing forThor#8suggests that something off-the-wall might be going on with the hammer and that Adam might not be the only human in Broxton who ’s capable of lifting it . Plus , Thor#9teases the coming back of Thor ’s deadly form - Donald Blake . So , there ’s definitely more than meets the heart when it comes to Mjolnir .
With Thor ’s hammer getting backbreaking for him and seemingly lightheaded for everyone else , perhaps he ’s using Broxton as a testing reason to see just how much the enchantment on Mjolnir has shifted . Regardless , it ’s pretty amazing to see a regular mechanic lift Mjolnir and become worthy . Will Adam stick around in that form ? It ’s dubious . But , the scene shows that when it comes to being worthy , you do n’t need to be Thor , the God to Thunder to lift the pounding - at least for now . Thor#7is in entrepot now .
