Now , Deadshot had to do one last missionwith the Squad to take out Kord , so he could be with his daughter and retire . However , inSuicide Squad#9,they convey all the room to the top floor of Kord ’s building only to find that Superman himself had already take care of Kord and tied him up . The Squad , obviously confused and frustrated that they did n’t get to do the job themselves , lead down to exit . However , Deadshot rest behind , call for if Superman could autograph a cartridge holder for his girl , which help substantiate his hunch - why would Superman need to tie someone up ? The window was broken as if Superman had flown in , but there was no glass inside the building . Not only that , but " Superman " addressed the autograph to Zoe , even though Deadshot never told Supermanhis daughter ’s name . Deadshot warns and call his squad to come back up but it ’s too later . Before he know it , Deadshot has been shoot in the thorax by the fake Superman , who then reveals his true identity .
While the reveal ofBlack Maskas Deadshot ’s killer is shocking enough , Black Mask himself recount Deadshot that all the things he ’s done have finally catch up with up with him . He then kicks both Deadshot ( and Kord ) out of the window to fall to their last below at the consequence ’s end . Unfortunately , the rest of the Suicide Squad was too far down to make it back up in time to save Deadshot .
While it ’s unclear as to what Black Mask ’s exact purpose are , one could imagine he ’s just as interested in the oil as Kord was , looking to take it for himself . It seems as though Deadshot just got in the way by assay to do the right matter . What give his destruction really tragic is how snug he was to getting everything he wanted . All of his compliance and piece of work with Task Force X over the years was in the inspection and repair of one day amaze to be innocent with his girl . Now , that ’s been rent off by Black Mask , and sports fan can play thatHarley and the ease of the Squadwill be face for some strong payback and revenge in the next return ofSuicide Squad .
