Towards theend of the picture show , the woman is speaking with the janitor in the school hallway . She asks him if he ’s seen Jake , but when he asks her to describe him , she ca n’t . She says it was so long ago that she ca n’t remember , that they never even really talk .
She inculpate that she was on a date with her lady friend and " this guy kept look at [ her ] .
