Kevin Dillon : I ’ll tell you what , are we roll mighty now ?

still from They were expendable

Yeah , we ’re cast right now .

Kevin Dillon : Okay , beneficial . Well , you recognize what I ’m about to go to Buddy Games 2 . I will July 5 to Vancouver , and we ’re doing another Buddy Games .

That ’s awful . IsJosh Duhamel back at the helmfor it ?

Kevin Dillon : Oh , yes , he is . He publish it , and he ’s starring in it . And we got all the Guy back , for the most part . It ’s gon na be outstanding , the book is really , really funny .

That ’s awesome . How do you sense it compare to the firstBuddy Games ?

Kevin Dillon : I call up it ’s different , but it ’s catch a really good flavour . It ’s gon na be a nice bit two . I feel like they could do these Buddy Games on and on , I really do experience that .

Kevin Dillon Hot Seat

I enjoyed the camaraderie you guy had in that first one , so I do look forwards to see what come of that sequel , then . WithHot Seat , you ’ve been in the action genre before . What was it about this movie that really caught your interest ?

Kevin Dillon : I think the script is really coolheaded and the fact that Mel Gibson was doing it , I had just worked with him and I had a great time , he ’s a really good guy , a great doer and a great theatre director . I think it was called On the Line I did prior to with him and it was a estimable clock time . This came up and I say , " Absolutely , I ’d have it away to do it . " The only problem is it was a seven - day shoot . I ’m like , " What , how are we lead to do this in seven days ? " It was a lot of talks , buthats off to James Cullen Bressack , our director , we just pulled it off . He was awing .

With your past project likeEntourage , you ’re used to quicker turnaround time . But seven mean solar day ? That ’s quite the feat . What was that like for you pose all that together ?

Kevin Dillon in Hot Seat

Kevin Dillon : It was tough , because we did seven consecutive days , I did n’t even have a weekend to readjust . I just really had to cram and study , report , study my lines , so I had them down . It was also tough being in a chair where I arrive a dud under my a– and I ca n’t move , so I ’m limited with my crusade and I ’m not really playact against another somebody . I had someone recite the dialogue off silver screen and I have to respond to verbaliser and cameras , it was a genuine challenge .

This is a very hard picture to do , in many way , and I ’m felicitous the way it turn out . I just take care it last nighttime and I thought it change state out bang-up , I was n’t even trusted we were gon na be capable to get it done in seven days , but we did 24 page of dialogue a 24-hour interval , when the average is about three to four . So very impressive .

Did you get the chance to really work up a rapport with any of your castmates , like Kate Katzman ?

Mel Gibson and Kevin Dillon in Hot Seat

Kevin Dillon : I mean , the gaga thing is she ’s off to the side too , so we ca n’t even see each other . I ’m face the blind and she ’s handcuffed behind me . I did have some good stuff withme and Mel coming togetherat the end of the pic , we had some great stuff together there .

It really became me and James working together ; it became about that . That was the really important connexion , and he ’s great . We ’re gon na work again - I do n’t fuck if I ’m let to say , but we ’re by all odds process to get something line up .

James seems to always have something in his back pouch , so that ’s coolheaded that you ’re drive to reunite with him again soon . So even though there are n’t too many action succession that inHot Seat , there are a couple of exciting ones , what was it like for you get to be a part of those ?

Kevin Dillon in Entourage

Kevin Dillon : The stuff on the cap , that was great stuff and , of course , the lift successiveness . That was another thing natural action takes clock time , it really gobbles up a slew of time . stimulate that seven - day shoot makes it really tough , too , but it was great . I think we we pulled it all off and I get it on it , I sleep together doing action . I get a little banged up , but I love the intensity level .

How was that elevator shot executed ? Was it strictly CGI , was it hardheaded ?

Kevin Dillon : Yeah , I think it was a little bit of both . There was a door that travel through there , they made it to be the lift and they had an explosion go through , there was an literal explosion . They had me kick the chairwoman back and fall back into it . That was a stunt guy who had to do that , because I did n’t want to break my cervix . I think there was some CGI in there for some of the flames , and that kind of thing . I thought they did a groovy job .

Kevin Dillon on roof in Hot Seat

One matter I have to say s I ’m glad it worked out , because I love the gunshot and the muzzle flash and the sound and the olfactory sensation of the gunpowder . There ’s something about that to really get your adrenaline up .

This time , we had to use these airsoft guns due tothe Alec Baldwin situationand that does n’t have the same core , does n’t have the charge and the dash . But they they must have added them in in post and they worked , that worked really well , because I was concerned about that . But I ’m not anymore , because it does work , the airsoft guns worked out moderately well .

Yeah , I did n’t even observe they were airsoft .

Kevin Dillon : That seems to be the room the future now ever since that incident .

Well , even though it might take away from the adrenaline you refer , it is respectable that we keep actors like you safe on define as well .

Kevin Dillon : Yeah , the condom is there for certain .

I finger likethe hacker genreis one that must be so difficult from an acting perspective , given how much technobabble there is involved with that . Did you incur that you had to meditate a lot of very technological price for all those dialogue - sound scene you had ?

Kevin Dillon : Yes , I did . Yeah .

Did James give you a Holy Scripture of terms to aid you for each matter ?

Kevin Dillon : I guess , yeah . Sometimes I ’d have to ask what it is and how to say stuff like that and he goes , " Oh , this means such and such . " There was a daughter there who was a real tech expert , she would assist me out with stuff . But yeah , there was a raft of technical dialog to say , which whenever you study dialogue , it makes it a little tricky , especially when you got 24 pages of it every day . But yeah , we pull out it off . I just did my homework and a mountain of research to bang through it .

Before I go , I do require to expect acouple question aboutEntourage . Last prison term we talk , you said you had been bugging Doug for months to lastly get it going and you had say he had in conclusion had the steering wheel turning , so I ’m odd if you take heed anything new from from Doug or anybody about mayhap getting it going ?

Kevin Dillon : Well , right now I ’m at Action Park Studios , where we shoot the Victory Pod , we ’re gon na do a Victory Podcast after I verbalize to you , Doug ’s in the other way with Kevin Connolly . Every fourth dimension I see him , I throw it out there , I bring something up . But we did shoot a pilot together , me and Doug and Kevin , called Ramble On . It ’s really , really well done with Charlie Sheen , we ’ll see what encounter with that . It is just a pilot aright now , but it feels like a pretty damn good one , so we ’ll see . It ’s not a reboot , but it ’s really cool .

I had say that Charlie was doing something with Doug and so it ’s cool to hear that you and Kevin are involve with that as well .

Kevin Dillon : To go with Charlie again after all those year , since Platoon in 1986 , is pretty nerveless .

Wow , I ca n’t believe it ’s already been that longsighted . So ifEntouragewere to come back , where do you think Drama would be at this point in his life sentence ? When we last saw him , he was finally back on his way up with the Golden Globe win .

Kevin Dillon : I ’d like to guess if we were doing reboot , I ’d care to retrieve somehow he ’s struggling again , because I love a struggling Johnny Drama . If he ’s too successful , I do n’t know , I cogitate I prefer to watch him struggle for everything . Yeah , he win the Golden Globe , but maybe his life history , he ’s like in a muddle and he ’s back to the onetime Drama stuff and nonsense again .

Sure , I consider Drama is at his good when he ’s fighting to make his direction back .

Kevin Dillon : Then again , Doug Ellin might see it differently and , " You ’re on top of the world . " I do n’t jazz , who know , but I do love a struggling Drama .
