Sidney Prescott ’s story always feel relevant as the motion picture is a classic slasher flick , but it ’s also have humor , emotion , and of course , a meta take on horror .
Withsolid dialogueand impressive acting and steering , it ’s no wonder that theScreamfranchise has been so popular . But how smart are the main characters in the first film ? While some seem to have a solid heading on their shoulder , others make some pretty poor decision .
Cotton Weary
For a while , it seems like Cotton Weary isone of the Ghostface killers , but as fourth dimension proceed on , it becomes unmortgaged that Liev Schreiber ’s character is basically just a jerk .
Cotton does n’t seem like a very intelligent person . He thinks that being celebrated is more important than anything else , and he has a creepy air around him .
Casey Becker
Casey Becker seems like a sweet someone who has been put in a terrible situation . She ’s famous for being the first person kill inScream(and for the truly ghastly way that she ’s murdered ) .
While this character be intimate a lot about repugnance movies since she loves the genre so much , she ca n’t get the most significant doubtfulness properly , as she messes up who the killer is inFriday the 13th . She also has moments when she seems a chip ditzy .
Stu Macher
Matthew Lillard ’s character , Stu Macher , definitely is n’t very smart .
Stu is n’t the greatestScreamkiller , and he does n’t seem to have a lot work on upstairs , either . Whether he ’s act silly at school and teasing everyone , or he ’s stupid enough to think that he can get away with kill people , Stu does n’t seem destined for a very cerebral future .
Dewey Riley
While Dewey Riley is incredibly kind and caring toward Sidney and his sister Tatum , he ’s not the most competent at his job , which ranks him pretty low in term of smartScreamcharacters .
Dewey is the kind of copper who ca n’t solve a puzzle , even if the piece are right in front of him , and while he tries really hard , he just does n’t seem to realise the place that he ’s in .
Neil Prescott
Sidney ’s father Neil does n’t seem like a particularly impudent or especially dumb character .
He ’s not onscreen for enough time for fans to get a feel for his intelligence operation , but he does get kidnapped by the killers , so he could probably be a little smarter . While not every horror moving picture character can help the office that they ’re put in , Neil has been dealing with the trauma of losing his wife , and it seems like he would be a footling more careful .
Tatum Riley
Arthur Tatum might not be a"final girl"but she ’s a fairly smart teenager . But ultimately , she is the kind of mellow schooler who conceive that she cognize more than she does .
Even though she live in a small townspeople and probably has n’t been anywhere or had very many experience , Tatum has a cosmos - aweary attitude and acts like she ’s seen it all . She ’s innocent and naïve in some ways , though , like the fact that she ’s date Stu and he ’s actually one of the killer .
Sidney Prescott
fan are thrilled thatNeve Campbell will be inScream 5and that ’s because the role is such an important part of the franchise . The story began with her , after all .
While Sidney seems very impertinent , she leave out a mass of obvious sign . For example , she does n’t realize that her beau Billy is the grampus and trusts him completely , even though he acts like a jerking and does n’t observe her . She also sometimes has a flake of a " damsel in suffering " vibe even though she does become stronger as the enfranchisement continues .
Gale Weathers
Gale Weathers is one of the most level-headed fibre inScream .
While some do n’t love this passionate reporter , she ’s got a good feel for what make a compelling program , and she knows that the Woodsboro murders are something deserving talking about . She ’s also smart enough to put herself in the essence of the action and get the fib , even becoming a published author as a resolution of it .
Billy Loomis
Skeet Ulrich ’s character , Billy Loomis , is one of the two killers inScream , and for that intellect , he seems like he ’s very levelheaded .
He manage to hide the truth from his own lady friend and his friends , and no one has any mind that he has been kill people and stimulate so much pain and woe .
Randy Meeks
Jamie Kennedy’sScreamcharacter , Randy Meeks , is ahilarious horror movie eccentric . He ’s also the most intelligent of the bunch .
With a dotty amount of knowledge on the genre of horror , Randy has an answer for everything . He schools the others on how to live through a horror story and he seems like the most important type since he explain the reason whyScreamis meta . There were so manyhorror flick endeavor to do as well asScreamand that must be because Randy ’s intelligent take on the genre is so fascinating .
