Rogue One: A Star Wars Story
Star Warshas introduced fan to a whole orbit of characters , butRogue Onebrought in one of the most complex to universe . Jyn Erso was the leash of this war film and has also been the matter of a duet of dissimilar books , which do to explore her further .
However , there ’s a act of inconsistencies with the character . Despite the fantastic committal to writing and thegreat portrayal of the character from Felicity Jones , there ’s a few details that do n’t quite sum up up by rights , or do n’t needs fit with what has been seen from the graphic symbol in the past ; especially relating to her feelings on revolutions .
Getting Left Behind
One thingthat does n’t make much sense for Jyn ’s backstoryis the fact that her mentor and foster father , Saw Gerrera , left her behind . purportedly for her own tribute so he could press in warfare , it did n’t make much sense for her narrative .
She spend a lot of time preparation under Saw and teach a great number of skills . It ’s odd therefore that he would just up and leave without any more of a word to her . It ’s no wonder she has come to not trust the gentleman .
Her Relationship With Saw Gerrera
Since she has had a strange upbringing under Saw , her relationship with him also does n’t make much gumption . They were very snug , then he abandoned her and finally she came to rely him once more , despite how he feel about her .
Almost to his pass away breathing place he seemed to be paranoid of Jyn . Their relationship was complex and really did n’t make much sense . It was if neither of them make love what to actually recall of the other , since so much had come about .
Her Unwillingness To Get Involved
Jyn pass so much of her life preparing for a revolution that she became jaded in accept part in . For much of her adult life she actually tried to stick around outdoors of conflicts , despite everything she had been learn and everything that her spirit desire her to be .
While it ’s not a continuity erroneousness , it does seem quite remaining that she then becomes some bang-up loss leader of a gyration and the figurehead of the galaxy , leaving a tenacious bequest . Her feeling on whether to be involved in the conflict must be very complicated .
Her Nickname
Her nickname throughout the film is Stardust . The record book also see her father apply this nickname for her , but there ’s very niggling account on why that ’s the name that was settle on . The fact is , it ’s probable just a detail to link up to the Death Star plans afterwards .
Many other element from the costumes , to the kyber vitreous silica necklace are clearly think out deeply , but for some reason the Stardust name feel much more like a convenient choice in order for the narrative to move forwards .
Her Desire To Be A Martyr
Towards the end of her life Jyn survive on what was basically a suicide mission . She was fully aware of this and was glad to become a martyr for the goodness of the future Republic . This conflicts with what she wanted for her life history though .
She seemed to desire her life to be more than about rebellion and that she was contrive for something more . For her to die in the act also seems as if she could n’t see a future tense for herself , which was clearly not reliable see the friends and life story she had started to build .
Her Trust Of Cassian
Cassian Andor is surely someone who should n’t be trusted . He works alongside a re - programmed Empire droid and was willing to try and wipe out Jyn ’s father , without telling her what he was go to do . It ’s unusual she trust him at all .
He has been known to make the tough choice , the form that could put her in danger . While he redeems himself somewhat , Jyn has proven to be someone who holds onto certain beliefs . It ’s strange that she come to swear him so much in the end , particularly on Scariff .
Her Relationship With Bodhi
Bodhi is another fictitious character that Jyn should be perhaps more sceptical of . She has been trained not to intrust the Empire in any capacity and yet she consume the Good Book of a pilot program that has supposedly defected . Her thoughts of the Empire even haze over her view of her father .
Considering how closely she comes to ferment with Bodhi , there does n’t seem to be a lot of continuity between how she view the Empire now . She ’s sometimes shown to have the same paranoia as sawing machine , but this never reflects on how she then treats people .
Her Potential Survival
There were rumors and plans for Disney+ to have some variety of Jyn Erso video show set after the events ofRogue One . think how popular the film was , it make sense and has now led to a Cassian Andor show alternatively .
However , what did n’t make sense is how Jyn could have survived the events of the fight on Scariff . There was distinctly some kind of creative plan in place , but their death seemed like they were jolly much guaranteed .
Jyn’s Memories Of Her Past
Jyn ’s computer storage of her past life with her mother and father are quite sketchy , look at how young she was . She does n’t seem to totally remember her time with the begetter , working under the Empire .
This should have had a larger encroachment on her and reckon she call back other component of this time stop , it ’s odd she shut out the time where they were with the Empire and acts as if her father is innocent .
Her Desire To Join The Rebellion
She was trained to be something she did n’t want to be , did n’t entrust the people around her and tried to stay on alfresco of the conflict . Then all of sudden she joins the Rebels , a group that she had also been taught not to rely .
Jyn ’s methods seems to be to work solo , so it seems odd that she joins forces with a group she had very interracial feelings about . Much like many other aspects of her character , her choice here just did n’t make much sense ; with a lot of contradiction in terms .
