With two of the top three highest - grossing movies of all time under his belt , it ’s fair to say thatJames Cameronis one of the most popular directors working in Hollywood . The key to a memorable movie is memorable fibre , and Cameron ’s body of work is full of them   — often played byhis go - to leading humankind Arnold Schwarzenegger .

In all of Cameron ’s movies , there ’s a protagonist and a villain matched to their personality or power . In the compositor’s case of Schwarzenegger ’s Terminator , Cameron made him a fantastic villain in the first film and , surprisingly , a sub whom lover could root for in the second one .

Protagonist: Ellen Ripley

James Cameron did n’t make Ellen Ripley , but he did bring a lot of his own material to the character when he wrote and directedAliens . Ripley was written as unisex inAlien , as were all the other fictitious character , withthe drop team give to decide their genders .

Thematically , Cameron lend Ripley ’s enate inherent aptitude into play inAliens . After losing her own girl , she finds a form of surrogate tyke with Newt and will stop at nothing to protect her .

Villain: The Queen

Ripley ’s maternal instincts are absolutely counterpoint with those of the scoundrel . When the Colonial Marines arrive at the xenomorphs ’ dependency and protrude kill them off , the Queen seek to eliminate them .

Despite the fact that the Queen is a faceless bloodthirsty monster , it ’s well-heeled to see that she   wants to protect her child , just like Ripley wants to protect Newt .

Protagonist: Harry Tasker

Cameron ’s spy thrillerTrue Liesis one of his most underrated moving picture . It has goofy comedy and spectacular military action in equal measure , make for a rollicking moviegoing experience .

Arnold Schwarzenegger stars as Harry Tasker , a on the face of it regular suburban family man who leads a double life as a James Bond - type hole-and-corner federal agent .

Villain: T-800

While the T-800 was reprogrammed to be a supporter inTerminator 2 , he made for a nigh - perfect scoundrel in the originalTerminatormovie . Arnold Schwarzenegger ’s hulking physique and ability to play sheer phlegm made the T-800 a convincing cybernetic cleanup machine .

Like the shark inJawsor the titular sanguinary alien inPredator , the T-800 is a unrelenting killer who will stop at nothing until the champion is dead , but even more hauntingly , he looks human .

Protagonist: Kyle Reese

When the Terminators commit a T-800 back in time to bolt down the mother of the loss leader of the Resistance against them , the Resistance ship Kyle Reese back in time to protect her .

As the everyman counterpoint to Arnold Schwarzenegger ’s superhuman brawn , Michael Biehn was an prosperous agonist to root for .

Villain: Colonel Miles Quaritch

Although Jake Sully was a pretty generic protagonist inAvatar , Colonel Miles Quaritch , the war advocacy villain play by Stephen Lang , was unforgettable .

From his curmudgeonly demeanor to his miserly - game quip to his blind desire to mine a sophisticated refinement for its natural resources , Quaritch steal every scene he ’s in . It ’ll be exciting to see where his electric arc goes in the sequel ( if we ever get to see them ) .

Protagonist: Rose DeWitt Bukater

As a dearest news report , Titanichas two protagonist , Jack and Rose , but since the former sacrifice himself for the latter and the latter provides the frame narrative as one of the shipwreck ’s oldest survivors , Rose is the true Italian sandwich of the story .

Throughout the story , there ’s a tangible connection between the champagne spirit of Kate Winslet ’s untested Rose and the more reserved romance of Gloria Stuart ’s older Rose .

Villain: Carter J. Burke

While the Queen is the primary villain inAliens , Carter J. Burke is a tight moment . He does one of the most flagitious thing anyone in any movie has ever done .

In an attempt to produce and trance a xenomorph that he can bring back to Earth , he locks a facehugger in a room with a sleeping Ripley and Newt , hoping to get one of them impregnated . Burke only has a minor role in the moving picture , but he ’s extremely hatable .

Protagonist: Sarah Connor

After maltreat up to the home following the death of her protector Kyle Reese and belt down the T-800 pitilessly pursuing her with a quippy one - liner in the firstTerminatormovie , Sarah Connor blossomed into a full - on badass inTerminator 2 .

Linda Hamilton was the everlasting option to play the fibre . The scene in which John thinks his mom is squeeze him when she ’s actually checking him for gunfire wounds perfectly encapsulates both fictitious character and their relationship .

Villain: T-1000

Cameronexpertly raised the stakesinTerminator 2 . The Terminator mannikin that terrorized Sarah Connor in the first movie has been reprogrammed to protect her and her son from an even more sinewy Terminator model , the T-1000 , which can morph into the level , withstand almost any amount of force , and portray anybody perfectly .

Robert Patrick play the cyborg ’s cold-blooded emotionlessness stunningly , while the T-1000 ’s slender physique and calculate crusade more than make up for the T-800 brawniness it lacks .
